Marrakech

Marrakech is an incredibly vibrant town. The main square, Place Djemaa el-Fna, is huge and is crowded at night with snake charmers, henna stalls, scary monkeys and food stalls selling everything from eggplant to whole sheeps heads - yum ;)

This was our last stop - we had a final desperate dash to consume mint tea, dates, couscous, good coffee, and to soak in some amazing palaces and souks. Then it was back on the aeroplane(s).

NB Legal disclaimer: The Moroccan version of a hookah, known as a shisha, pictured here, was filled with apple-soaked tobacco. Smooth, tasty, and guaranteed not to fall afoul of the rather scary-sounding Moroccan authorities.
