Pottery, Secret Sushi and two Earthquakes

Fran and Craig took us on a Sunday frolic in Yokkaichi with their friend Kazuko. First stop: pottery making at the Yokkaichi Banko centre, where Craig mastered the sake cup. As we were leaving, a nasty level 5 earthquake shook the street, and indeed half the country. Then, they introduced us to a top-secret sushi restaurant (there isn't even a sign outside) which is frequented by celebrities and serves superb sushi at excellent prices. A day that encompasses hands-on art, fine dining and a brush with death: what more could one ask for from Japan?
